Each of our stores have access to wheelchairs that customers can use on a first come first served basis.  When you arrive at the Store check with Reception to find out what is available

At this time we do not have access to motorised wheelchairs

Yes well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in our stores.  We have water points and at Reception have clean up kits in case of any accidents.  Please ask for help if needed

Dogs are also allowed in our Restaurants if the store are able to offer a dog friendly zone.  Dogs are also allowed in our Restaurants if the store are able to offer a dog friendly zone. Dogs aren't allowed near our food preparation areas, foodhalls and our indoor or outdoor play areas

Additionally, the EHO advised our trolleys should not be used to transport dogs around the Garden Centre.  This is for hygiene reasons as the same trolley can then be used by another customer who might place food in the trolley

Our policy is designed to balance between Dobbies wanting customers to bring their dogs to our stores and ensuring we are complying with the appropriate guidance designed to support all

We continue to listen to our customers feedback and review this policy to ensure its intentions are achieved and work for the majority of our customers, while being within the appropriate guidelines

Dobbies is a family friendly destination where mothers are always welcome with their babies. We believe mums should always feel comfortable wherever they are breastfeeding and are proud to support local NHS Breastfeeding Welcome Schemes

We provide disabled parking spaces, ramps, access and toilet facilities. All our stores have aisles wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and  wheelchairs are available on loan to customers. We would recommend that you check with the reception desk at the store you are planning to visit for local arrangements in place

If you simply return to store with your proof of purchase, we will be more than happy to correct this for you

We're always very keen to hear from our customers.  We love to read what customers like and also if there is anything we can learn and do differently.  Please go to our Contact Us form and a member of our Customer Care team will be in touch

Yes, we have a free plastic plant pot and tray return service.  Customers can drop off plastic pots and trays at any of our stores and we'll make sure they don't end up in landfill.  We can take all shapes, sizes and colours, as long as they're plastic and not polystyrene, they just need a quick wash first

We are working with our supply chain partners to ensure we are removing as much plastic as possible from our packaging.  This policy forms an essential part of our trading terms going forward and we are already seeing marked progress in terms of the solutions being offered

As a business, we are committed to reducing waste and increasing recycling.  For example, we are extending our range of planters and garden products made from recycled materials and we are currently working with a supplier to bring a range of  plants in biodegradable pots to the market

We compress all of the returned plastic pots and trays, (along with any generated by us), in pneumatic balers on-site. These compressed bales are then collected by our third party waste management partners and sent off for processing in local plants. The vast majority of the returned pots and trays are recycled into pellet form which can then be turned into other goods

We are more than happy for local community groups, schools, nurseries or local charities to re-use any of the pots and trays to help their projects.  We would encourage these groups to bring them back when finished to ensure they don’t end up in landfill
