Dobbies community Christmas trees
Whether it is the fresh scent of pine, the warm glow of twinkling lights, or the excitement of placing the final decoration, Christmas trees are at the heart of festive celebrations up and down the country
This Christmas, we would love to support local communities by donating more than 200 Christmas trees to schools and nurseries, and we would love to hear from you! This year, we are focusing on our sustainably grown Christmas trees, and in partnership with Needlefresh, we have four per store to donate
The aim is for nurseries and schools to have a real Christmas tree that they can decorate for the festive season
Who can enter
Schools and nursery groups who would welcome a real tree at the heart of their Christmas celebrations this year
Prize
180 / 210cm Nordmann Fir cut tree
Winners will be invited into the store to collect their Christmas tree at Christmas Shopping Night on 21 November
Entering is easy
To enter, simply complete the short form telling us about your school or nursery group and how you would benefit from receiving a real Christmas tree
Nominations are now open and entries close at 5pm on Wednesday 6 November 2024. Successful applicants will be contacted in mid-November and invited to collect their tree at their local store during Dobbies’ Christmas Shopping Night on 21 November, in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust
OUR SUSTAINABLY GROWN CHRISTMAS TREES
Our Christmas trees are sustainably grown in environmentally managed fields across Scotland from specially selected seeds, taken from hand-picked cones which have been left to dry and nurtured into seedlings. The growing team use specialist pruning techniques to create a bushy and uniform shape by hand, reducing any impact on the surrounding environment and protecting the animals and plants

This campaign is open to schools and nursery groups only
We would like to promote the project with local press and on social media, those involved in the project should be comfortable with this
There will be no cash prize
