Dobbies has diverted more than 77,063 Surprise Bags of uneaten food from landfill during its three years of partnership with surplus food app, Too Good To Go

Leading the food waste revolution, Too Good To Go lets people buy surplus food and drink from restaurants, grocery stores, pubs and producers to stop it from going to waste. Consumers simply download the free Too Good To Go app and search for nearby businesses with unsold produce. They then purchase a ‘Surprise Bag’ and collect it at an allotted time

Having first partnered with Too Good To Go in February 2021, Dobbies have diverted more than 77,063 Surprise Bags of tasty food from going to landfill. This means that in the last two years, Dobbies has also helped save over 208,070kg of CO2E which is the equivalent of charging a phone 46 million times. Customers are able to purchase a Surprise Bag in selected stores across the UK, filled with quality surplus food that would ordinarily go to waste. With an RRP of £12-14, the Surprise Bags are available to buy for £3.99. Surprise Bags featuring indoor and outdoor plants with a RRP of £30 are also available to buy for £10 in Dobbies stores
