How to make a mosaic plant pot

Step 1:

Explore your garden or local area and collect as many stones or pebbles as you can. Try to find a nice mixture of shapes and sizes, but keep in mind that stones with a flat side will be easier to attach to the pot

Step 2:

Place a layer of clay around the entire pot, firmly pushing it into place

Step 3:

Make sure that the bottom edge of the pot is smooth. This will help the pot sit flat once the clay dries

Step 4:

Roll the pot on a clean, flat surface to help smooth out the surface of the clay and make it easier to attach your pebbles

Step 5:

Add stones, pebbles, or broken pottery to form a mosaic pattern. If you’re using broken pottery, it’s best to wear gardening gloves or ask an adult to help you. Push your mosaic items firmly into the clay, which will stop them from falling out when the clay dries

Step 6:

When the clay is totally dry, cover the pot in a thin layer of Mod Podge or a mixture of PVA glue and water. This will seal the pot and protect it from moisture

Step 7:

Add your favourite houseplant and enjoy!
