Ingredients:
For the Filling:
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and topped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust according to
- taste and the tartness of strawberries)
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
For the Crumble Topping:
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- A pinch of salt
Let’s get baking!
Step 1:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
Step 2:
- Wash the strawberries and remove the tops. If they are large, you can cut them in half. Place the prepared strawberries in a mixing bowl
Step 3:
- Sprinkle granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour over the strawberries. Gently toss the strawberries until they are evenly coated with the sugar and flour mixture. Set aside
Step 4:
- In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix well. Add the softened butter to the mixture. Use your hands to rub the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs
Step 5:
- Grease a baking dish. Pour the prepared strawberries into the dish, spreading them evenly. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the strawberries, covering them completely
Step 6:
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven. Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until the crumble topping is golden brown, and the strawberries are soft and bubbling
