Let's get started

Step 1:

Go for a walk and collect some winter foliage. You can search for pine cones, snip some sprigs of holly, or little pieces of pine tree. Always ask permission before you take any cuttings and make sure you’ve got an adult to help too

Step 2:

Place the foliage you’ve collected somewhere safe to dry out fully

Step 3:

If you’re using paint, it’s easier to paint your pine cones or dip your ivy or pine sprigs before you stick them on. You can use all kinds of colours and also add some glitter before the paint dries

Step 4:

Fold your card in half, before writing a lovely message along the top or bottom. Make sure to leave plenty of space for your foliage

Step 5:

Next, get some strong glue and attach your foliage to the card. Press and hold it to ensure it’s stuck

Step 6:

Write the inside of your card and then give it to someone special!

IMPORTANT: Don't use small pine cones or other small pieces of foliage on cards meant for very small children or babies, as they could be a hazard
