Despite appearing empty, she quickly learns that under the surface, there’s life growing – it just needs her to nurture and care for it. It’s really important to help gardens flourish by clearing away dead leaves, planting summer-flowering bulbs, and making sure there’s plenty of food for wildlife.

“The Very Hungry Caterpillar” illustrates
the lifecycle of butterflies, showing us how caterpillars eat, grow, and then emerge from their cocoons as beautiful butterflies. You can also add plants like Lady’s Smock and Garlic Mustard plants to your garden to act as food for hungry caterpillars.
