CUT CHRISTMAS TREE CARE
Real Christmas trees are easy to decorate and add a natural, festive fragrance to your home. Our range is grown sustainably in Scotland and is covered by our Real Tree Guarantee.
Follow our simple steps to care for your real tree:
- Saw a few inches off the bottom of the trunk
- Remove the netting
- Place outside in a bucket of water
- Bring inside to decorate
- Use a tree stand and top it up with water daily
- Position away from radiators
PLANTING YOUR POT GROWN TREE
Your tree was grown from a small seedling in its pot and has taken several years to reach its current size. Please remember your tree is still living and you can carefully plant it in the garden after Christmas.
When you plant your tree outside:
- Dig a hole the same depth as the pot and twice as wide
- Loosen the soil in the bottom of the hole
- Leave the grow pot on the tree so that the root ball remains undisturbed
- Place the pot in the hole and backfill with a 50:50 mix of soil and multi-purpose compost
- Gently firm in place and water well
- Water generously in the first few years of establishment
