The Blackcurrant Ben Nevis Organic is a deciduous shrub with green foliage and insignificant yellow-green spring flowers. By July, the large, deep purple blackcurrents will be ready to harvest and enjoy. They have an excellent, tart flavour and are packed with vitamin C and can be eaten fresh from the plant, or they are excellent in jams and pies.
