Fargesia Pingwy 2ltr

Fargesia Pingwy has large leaves and an erect growth habit. Ideally suited for screening or planted as a single specimen, it tends not to grow quite as tall as other Fargesia Robusta forms and it can still reach an eventual height of 4-5m.

New shoots break early in spring and culms start off an attractive yellow and red, sheaths fade to an almost white colour which creates the distinct checkerboard look in early summer. A low maintenance bamboo it can be grown in full sun or partial shade. Plant in moist well draining soils.
